It is a revised version of the official game, called Rollerpede, because it uses the roller controller. Here is a copy and paste of the text on the back of the box: Welcome back your favorite 100-legged enemy and his friends the spider, scorpion and flea! A game that was made for the trackball in the arcade, it was released on the ColecoVision in 1982, a year before the Roller Controller. So, only a joystick version of Centipede existed for the ColecoVision … until now! Now, two roller controller compatible adaptions of the game are being released on cartridge for the Colecovision for the first time, complete with a pair of controller inlays! Rollerpede: A roller controller compatible adaption that includes multiple skill levels and slow, medium and fast trackball action, with medium speed being similar to the joystick version. One or two players! Vecto-Rollerpede: The same game as Rollerpede, but with vector-style graphics. One or two players! Your Critter Killer ship moves around the bottom area of the screen with a trackball and fires at a many segmented wriggling creepy crawler advancing from the top of the screen through a field of mushrooms. Each segment of the myriapede becomes a mushroom when shot; shooting one of the middle segments splits it into two pieces. To make matters worse, aggressive spiders advance at you, zig-zagging around your area of the battlefield and dive-bombing fleas fall down from above adding more mushrooms to the field. Also, look out for the fast-moving, hard to kill scorpion moving across the top of the screen for a big point bonus! Now, relive the arcade experience with true roller compatibility, plus more, on your ColecoVision with Rollerpede! There are two graphic versions included, the normal version and the vector version, which as the name suggests does a vector redesign. For the occasion we offer you a collector's version. We have chosen to offer this type of content to try and raise funds as we will be donating the profits from sales to charity. Please note that the Manual is 70 pages, full colour and this time it's only in english. A bilingual version would be too thick to fit in the box. But if you want the french version too you can buy it. Just ask There are 3 more things to know about this version: 1. Our ColecoVision club members will not pay the shipping costs and we will send the game at the end of August/beginning of September with the magazine and the club game. We have delayed the shipment of the club articles to save you the shipping costs. I hope you understand our approach. 2-The members of our club ColecoVision will receive 2 jackets. One will be the same, but the second one will have a special sticker on the back. It will be both an exchange cover, if yours is damaged later on, and a "collector" version. 3-You can add 1€ as many times as you like to your order. In exchange, we will include stickers with the ColecoVision game covers. For each € you add, you will receive 2 stickers. These stickers are collectible. We will publish later a small album to store them. This offer is also there to try to get some extra money for the association. To be brief, it is the difference of Slither or Armageddon in Roller mode vs Centipede in joystick mode. It is closer to the arcade experience. Basically, in joystick mode, if you move the roller half a turn , no matter what speed, you will move the same distance. In roller mode, the faster you move the roller half a turn, the faster and farther you move. Movement in pixels per frame varies with how fast the ball moves vs joystick mode. There are also three different speeds to try for changing the difficulty as well as all this for a vector version, which Vector Arcade and Vectrex fans may appreciate. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Cote Gamers has all the other info. Regarding video footage, since these are only controller hacks of previous games, the graphics will be the same as the original CV game and slydc vector hack, roms available around the web for joystick versions of both. It's time for answers !! ^^ Regarding the stickers, we'll try to produce ALL the games, you can count around 150 titles. For the first batch we will produce 25 titles Please note you'll be able to obtain new stickers with our club, on our social media etc (more to know tomorrow !) Regarding the poster alone, hum, we can sell it but it will cost you the shipping (if you are a member of our club we'll ship it for free). Please note that we are publishing this game for charity only. It is not an entirely new game, but we have tried to please everyone by producing a quality box and manual and offering some bonuses for collectors. Having said that, we fully understand those who are not interested. What about some pictures of the manual (in french ?, but the english version is 100% complete too ).
