Adam and SGM issue

Recommended Posts

I have an issue with the SGM and the stand alone Adam. When I use the AUX video out I have no sound from the SGM but if I use the RF out I do. I do have normal adam and colecovision sound out the aux video so I know that it is not a cable issue. Is this a me thing or? The sound works just fine on the Colecovision and the SGM.

Have you done the sound modification on your ADAM?

Oh, gawd...you would ask me that...I forget the specifics, and the video is apparently no longer up, but you have to cut a wire inside the ADAM and solder it to the leg of C8(???) C88(???) or you don't get any expansion module sound and the SGM is an expansion module.

Ok - maybe I should have asked how

I just did the SGM sound fix . I have very little experience with a soldering iron but found it took longer to take the Adam apart than to fix it. It is a very easy fix and I am so glad I did it.

TBH I think this fix can be done without soldering if you just extend the green wire a bit and attach a very small aligator clip. Then just attach the clip[ to the cap.
