tjlazer
Can someone do a patch for Scramble to allow the bomb to drop with the joystick instead of the space bar? Like in Super Cobra, press button and move the joystick down. http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-scramble_36326.html Edited July 21, 2021 by tjlazer

erichenneke
You can just set that in the options in Scramble already. Right? I just set it to where the fire button shoots and drops bombs at same time.

I like to play from the couch and am far away from the keyboard. Would be nice to have it with fire and down joy though. What do you guys think? +playsoft
Scramble supports a Sega Genesis or Joy2B+ controller - the second button will bomb. It's too late to make any changes to the control mechanism now.
Bobo Cujo
I've personally played A8 Scramble with both a Sega Genesis controller and a Joy2B stick - both work great for shoot+bomb. You actually wouldn't want down+fire to bomb in this game - a key strategy in this game is to stay low to the ground so that you can bomb at a fast rate, and you wouldn't want to risk crashing into the ground... (Especially in areas 3 and 4)

(Especially in areas 3 and 4) Exactly. I play with the setting fire and bombs with one button and it plays fine that way.
+playsoft
I never liked using down + fire to bomb in games myself, so went for both fire and bombs with the trigger instead and supported the Genesis/Joy2B+ which is probably the best way to play.
