How to adjust the rf signal in an Atari 2600 light sixer?

I need help doing it as there is no picture, and only static when the Atari is on. I can tell it’s outputting a video because of the change in static, but it needs to be adjusted and tuned.

How are you connected to the TV? What kind of TV is it? Are you tuned to the same channel your Atari is outputting to?

I am connected through rf with a rca to coaxial adapter. I am tuned to the correct channel, i have checked 2 - 5. I am using a plasma tv. My Intellivision II works perfectly on my tv.

Do you have any access to test equipment? Before you go messing about inside the RF modulator and risk damaging the coil or something, you should verify that you're getting good voltage to the input leg of the voltage regulator, good voltage to the output, and good voltages at Vss for each of the three main IC's in the system. Oh, and that you're using a known-good cartridge as well.
