+jgkspsx
I would like to buy a few hard to find games on amazon.co.jp. I tried to use buyee.jp (a Tenso service) but they cancelled my order with the message "There is a purchase quantity limit". There certainly is NOT a purchase quantity limit for these items, old games sold by third party sellers. I've thought about using Tenso's forwarding address service, but I saw lots of horror stories about Amazon viewing forwarding services as a way to circumvent purchase limits and potentially shutting down all customer accounts that used a given shipping address. I don't want that! Is there a forwarding service you've used with a decent degree of success?
DragonGrafx-16
It's not on ebay? Or is it too much there? I only import games using Ebay currently.
+jgkspsx
Some games are way more expensive on eBay than on Amazon, and some games are totally unavailable outside Amazon.
DragonGrafx-16
But does make it easy to get said games if you have the money and it's there.
Tanooki
Try zenmarket. They have the owner ship it (private, amazon, yahoo jp auctions, rakuten, etc) to their own warehouse, then they-repackage it better and ship to you. They charge 300yen for their only fee, sometimes lowered/waived in sales. You eat the JP to JP local shipping, the little fee, then the shipping charge for the company/postal outlet you use to then ship to you. As far as the domestic(to them) side goes they know nothing and won't block you that route. 1
+jgkspsx
I was going to try using them this weekend. Thanks for the vote of confidence! This will literally save hundreds over eBay prices, but then I would not pay eBay prices for these games…
Tanooki
Yeah that find I had early in the year which I showed I think here where I got a big lot of Japanese GB games was brokered through the site. Shipping sucked because mail was far more shut down, but, the 2 key games I got out of it had I bought them (if they'd show up) domestically would have been more, so everything else was gravy and a way to pay it down even more. Even discovered a few fun ones to keep too like Lunar Lander.
