xxx
this would be really useful as adding a bit more ram would have allowed you to do some more interesting things...
TwoShedsWilson
Oddly enough I had just learned that GCC did design exactly that, but from what I can tell it never went anywhere beyond the design phase.
Mr SQL
@Nukey Shay was working on this but I think the project might have been abandoned due to complexity. It would be interesting to see the GCC design.

SpectraVideo's keyboard product came with a Microsoft Basic implementation that had much more RAM, but it also included other limitations like only being able to edit a line once during program entry.

I wish there was more support for this interesting classic BASIC, I've never tried it as Compumates are pretty rare collectors items. It would be cool to see SpectraVideo functionality added to emulation and Multi-carts like Harmony, Uno and PlusCart to run Compumate BASIC programs directly from text files using the ARM Technology to host the BASIC interpreter. It would also be cool being able to click on a small BASIC text file and have it autoexec like SQL-Injection (bus stuffing) right into the BASIC Programming ROM binary's sparse RAM and launching the BASIC program.
+Karl G
It looks like @Nukey Shay hasn't been on in over a year. I'm one of the weird people that would love to see an enhanced version of the BASIC Programming cart. Expanding it to 8K to allow for more features, making use of SuperChip RAM to allow for longer programs, and SaveKey support to save programs would all be cool enhancements.
