gezkc
Hi guys, I've got an Ultimate Intellivision Flashback, which is a Flashback that has the internals replaced with a Raspberry Pi, and have never had any problems with it. However, this week it suddenly started coming up with "No gamepad detected" when I boot it up. I'm just using the standard Intellivision Flashback controllers (as I always have done) so I don't understand why it's suddenly stopped recognising them. I've tried pressing 0 on the controllers to try to get them to register with it, but nothing happens. Does anyone know how I can get it to recognise my controllers again? I'm trying to take part in this season's Intellivision HSC so you can understand how urgent this is!! ? Edit: BTW, I've checked the internal connections and it doesn't look like anything's come loose. Any help will be much appreciated. Many thanks, gezkc Edited July 29, 2021 by gezkc
mr_me
Plug in a keyboard to do some troubleshooting. Instructions here. https://www.tinkerboy.xyz/retropie-testing-the-usb-controller-joystick-via-the-command-line-or-terminal/ It basically says to exit to the command line by pressing F4. Use the command "lsusb" to list connected usb devices and command "jstest /dev/input/js0" to test the first game controller.
+fdr4prez
What USB adapter are you using? Get a longer USB cable and plug it into your main computer and see if it appears
gezkc
Thanks guys. It turns out the controller board has stopped working (LED on the underside is not flashing). Byte Knight is kindly sending me a new one so that should hopefully fix the problem.
