Keatah
Anyone know how to make Applewin run Retro-Ball? It essentially freezes when looking to detect the VideoSync mod. The VS mod is simply a wire that goes from the composite-out back to the cassette port. Seeing that Applewin has nothing to do with the cassette port I suppose that's a bust. Unless a patch can be done somehow. Microm8 from Paleotronic seems to run it. But that emulator requires an online connection and has a tedious menu and lousy way of handling disk images - enough to be annoying enough not to use. And it's full of other shit too. The game seems to work on MiSTer, so it's good to know they have replicated that mod. Are there any more games requiring it?
Keatah
Not that I’m aware of.
magnusfalkirk
I take it you have a Windows computer. It runs without any problems on Virtual II, but that is a Mac Apple II emulator. Any idea what the controls are? Retro-Ball (Sierra Software).pdf Edited July 31, 2021 by magnusfalkirk found documentation
Keatah
Yes I'm on Windows. I don't know how well Virtual II would work on a Hackintosh, however. I wonder if the puck is smooth moving in Virtual II? In Microm8, it is definitely not. On real hardware it plays as fine a VCS game, movements as slick as Spider Fighter or Demon Attack.
