@ParanoidLittleMan any news about your server problems I asked here?

Most of the HD adapted games (tried about 20, 19 give a "404") download links don't work.

E.g. this: http://atari.8bitchip.info/ASTGA/A/awesome.php

Floppy image DL works, HD not. Forum doesn't work either.

?

Found this on his homepage, perhaps that answers your question.

" Game hard disk adaptation files are removed currently - except latest ones (on top of table) because maintenance, reorganization. That may take some time. Please don't write me about 404.   If want some game egerly, I can send it in e-mail., but certainly not many of them."

Hmm, where (and when) did you find that?

But ok, that explains it all. ?

edit: found it at "Hard disk adapted games", ups. ?

Sometimes is good to visit start (home) page of site. There are some 'Site news' - now old some months.

I've visited your main page yesterday to find some evidence or news about this, but as you said, latest news is some months old. No offence though! ?

I would not call HAGE v. with removed background flashing during disk access as improved. Nobody else complained about it, and it is good to know when disk access happens.

Hi Peter,

While the flashing is not a problem in a very high percentage of your adaptations, due to quick single loading into RAM.

It would be nice to have a flash free (or not quite as flashy) version for very load intensive games like ISHAR III.

The constant flashing drives me crazy.

When the games are run on emulators the flash isn't really needed, as a onscreen LED could be used instead.

But i do understand the reason why you added it.

If it's an easy fix for you?, i wouldn't mind a flash free version.

Keep up the good work on new adaptations.

you are keeping the ST scene alive!. :)

  • 2 weeks later...

I added 31 latest game adaptations on page with individual game downloads, together with screenshots, YT videos .

Entry page with some explanations:  http://atari.8bitchip.info/fromhd.php

They are all with today date - 2021.11.03 .

All it took days of diverse editings, video recording, uploads etc ..

Games below EGO are still not present, that will need some time to put them back gradually, checked, some updates ..

Here is newest test v. of hard case Omnicron Conspiracy : OMNT3.ZIP

There are 2 starters, with little difference. Would be good to test as much can on different configurations. Game self is not hard, but is slow a bit. So patience needed, and 2 MB RAM min. Alternativelly with (accelerated) emulator. ST(E), Mega ST(E) only.

SDI Cinemaware:  SDICINEW.ZIP

Game has bug in screen draw - overshot. Because it org. and floppy cracks will crash with 4 MB RAM in Atari (unless set it lower with special SW).

Here, overshot damaged cache in high RAM, so needed special measures to prevent it - some extra work. I played little, and made YT video. And for TV Sports Football too - on my channel.

A very ambitious game for 1986

I like:  "October 25, 2017...  the Soviet Union..."

Game has a wonderful portrait,

I looked some of listed in past. Mostly not my type of games, or was not impressed with performance (F1 GP ...).

Anyway, I will do some of listed in next weeks.

2 problems:  Is Shangai this:  http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-st-let-s-play-shangai_28649.html

Virus is done:  http://atari.8bitchip.info/SCRSH/virgs.html

Probably did not see because I needed to change name in table, and for DL, title of page. Some sites just block pages, ZIP files if there is word 'virus' . Saw similar with word 'satan' .
