JagWarlord #1 Posted August 19, 2003 Any Star Wars fans here? Knights of the Republic is ok but rpg's arnt really my thing. I had to break out the old N64 for some good Star Wars gaming, Shadows of the Empire! Thats my all-time favorite Soo whats your favorite Stars Wars game?? -Mike
Eduardo #2 Posted August 19, 2003 My fav Star Wars game is Dark Forces, I spent a lot of time playing it in my 486, along with other 3d games like Doom, Descent and Heretic back in the day. Honorable Mention: Star Wars Arcade Rogue Squadron N64 Jedi Knight II in Multiplayer mode
NE146 #3 Posted August 19, 2003 Has to be still the old vector Arcade game in a nice sit-down cabinet.
Gregory DG #4 Posted August 19, 2003 Has to be still the old vector Arcade game in a nice sit-down cabinet. Amen to that!
JB #5 Posted August 19, 2003 Dark Forces is good, but I have to third the nomination of the Atari arcade game.
King Atari #6 Posted August 19, 2003 I love the Death Star Trench sequence, and up until I had played Rogue Leader, my favorite was the 1983 vector game. However, my favorite now has to be Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, for the Gamecube. Not only does it present the trench sequence with amazing realism and excitement, but it's an all around fantastic game. Hoth is a blast, and the following levels are a lot of fun as well. After that, it's a tie between the 1983 vector Star Wars, and Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace for Playstation (nothing's cooler than deflecting all those laser blasts!). Honorable mentions go to Shadows of the Empire, Rogue Squadron, The Empire Strikes back (2600), and Super Star Wars.

figgler #8 Posted August 19, 2003 I personally think that Super Bombad Racing is one of the most underrated titles ever But the best of all is Super Star Wars.....
SteveW #9 Posted August 19, 2003 I always like Star Wars: Demolition, just because I like vehicular combat games.
MegaManFan #10 Posted August 19, 2003 Episode I Racer is fun. The original Star Wars PC game (Wolfenstein-esque and all) was easy to get into and a blast to play. Despite the popular opinion on the subject, I really enjoy Teras Kasi on the PS1. And you can't overlook the SNES games or classics like Star Wars: TAG on 5200 and ColecoVision. z28in82 #11 Posted August 19, 2003 I'll go against the grain here and say that my fav SW game has to be Star Wars: Masters of Teras-Kasi (PSX) , it was helluafun using every single character to beat the everloving snot out luke. But as for actualy SW games the SNES series, the 32X port of arcade and the Dark Forces game and demolition was always good Twisted Metalisque fun
Cybergoth #12 Posted August 19, 2003 Hi there! The greatest of them all is Tie Fighter! Greetings, Manuel

+Cafeman #14 Posted August 19, 2003 At home, my favorite is GCN Rogue Leader. I can't play it a lot because I get frustrated, but the presentation, visuals, and the level missions themselves are Star Wars nirvana to me. I still cannot believe I can play a game of that calibre graphics at home. The AT-AT Hoth scenes alone were worth the $20 I paid. I liked Star Wars Pod Racer (SEGA) at the arcades. The home version is not quite as exciting but it seemed fun at times (never finished it). THe Star Wars ones, radically cool in the 90's, seem very aged and too difficult to me now. I think I've remembered enough of 'em to list a top five now: 1. Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader 2. Star Wars Arcade (Atari 80's version, sit down cab) 3. Star Wars Pod Racer (SEGA, coinop) 4. Super Star Wars (SNES) 5. The Empire Strikes Back (2600)
thund3r #15 Posted August 19, 2003 well my list as follows: 1. Star Wars Ep1 Racer (DC/PC) 2. Star Wars Dark forces (PC) 3. Star Wars Rogue Squadron (N64) 4. Super Star Wars (snes) 5. Star Wars Arcade
+kisrael #16 Posted August 19, 2003 In order: * Rogue Leader. Amazing. The first game that, with the Battle of Endor, captured the feeling of "There's Too Many Of Them!" swarms of TIEs which is why I loved RotJ all these years, despite the ewoks... I'm way psyched about the upcoming sequel. * Star Wars the arcade game...but I think a huge part of that was that awesome controller. * X-Wing (never got Tie Fighter) Heh, I remember trying to play this on my 386...my dormmates were laughing at me, yawning quite loudly as it took forever just to get past the title screen...finally I got a 486, and they shut up. Actually, N64 Rogue Squadrom should probably be in there, but it kind of fulls under Rogue Leader.
Han #17 Posted August 19, 2003 Hi there! The greatest of them all is Tie Fighter! I second that! I loved being evil ... And Dark Forces were great too ...
heavy-sixer #18 Posted August 19, 2003 I'll go against the grain here and say that my fav SW game has to be Star Wars: Masters of Teras-Kasi (PSX) , it was helluafun using every single character to beat the everloving snot out luke. I'm with you. I know most people hate it, but "Masters" was the whole reason I ended up getting a Playstation to begin with.
Invader_dag #19 Posted August 19, 2003 Masters of Teras Kasi is extremely underrated. But my favorite would have to be either the Jedi Knight series, or the X-Wing/TIE Fighter series
RMila75 #20 Posted August 19, 2003 Has anyone tried Clone Wars on Gamecube?

+kisrael #25 Posted August 19, 2003 Oh yeah, I had forgotten the old 2600 games. I really loved "Empire Strikes Back". It was one I was jonesing for, a long with Battlezone, before I got an Atari. (I think, I may have the timing mixed up) Empire Strikes Back for 2600: it taught us that armor wasn't too strong for blasters, but your firebutton finger was going to get really really tired. 2600 Return of the Jedi was kinda cool to. Interesting kinetic control scheme.
