Mq.
Here is a good position about PMG in Basic: https://www.atariarchives.org/pmgraphics/ In TBXL you can improve it later ofcourse.

+MrFish
Check this thread for a PM routine: Multipurpose PM Engine Check out this book for a good overview on graphics in Atari BASIC and in general: Compute's 1st Book of Atari Graphics [Note: 99% of all Atari BASIC programs/techniques will work with TBXL, only faster.] Edited August 13, 2021 by MrFish

+slx
Turbo BASIC XL doesn’t have dedicated P/M commands but some that make it easier to use the “normal” BASIC techniques.
+MrFish
Here's some decent documentation for TBXL itself. Serious Computerist: TBXL
billkendrick
The main advantage TurboBASIC XL will give you is the MOVE command, to move large blocks of memory around (for moving the player/missile data vertically). It also has some bitwise operations, which may be handy, depending on what you need to do. (It could help with individual missiles, I imagine.) Good luck!
