+FarmerPotato
While searching for that E-Bus patent, I found a TI patent describing the CRU bus of the 99000 series. The invention is the way the 99000 does serial I/O transfers from 000-7ffe and parallel I/O transfers above 8000. But, the patent contains a wealth of internal detail on the 99000, some down to the microcode per-instruction. For instance, it details some of the microcode ROM (15) outputs as MAFDI, MATB, PCINC, PCTB, WPTB, ALTP, CIFCO, DITA. Go read it! It looks like most of the 99105/110 data manual is in this patent, plus a lot more. Here is the first block diagram. Here is the patent: US4463421 1983 TI CRU 99000.pdf The inventor is Gerald E Laws, Austin Texas, for Texas Instruments. Filed in 1983, it is a continuation of a 1980 filing. Should be of interest to @pnr @speccery @Stuart@Ksarul and others. Pardon me if you knew about this a long time ago! 5
speccery
Thanks @FarmerPotato I was not aware of this patent. I will take a look, should be interesting. Speaking of patents, I'm co-inventor in five patent families, but that was a while ago
