Keatah Posted December 9, 2021 Share Posted December 9, 2021 I think the best way to "re-imagine" the original old games is to create additional content like levels while keeping the graphics the same (while having an option to play with modern-day sprites and whatnot). It's like Doom. Not too interested in the sequels that "improved" in the photorealistic direction far and above the original 1993 installments. No. But I am interested in new weapons, characters, and levels. Especially levels. All over that. Because that's what Doom was about - progressing through levels. The 1993 PC graphics are blocky enough to remind you you're playing a game, not trying to solve a linear movie plot. So reimagining classic games with cellphone graphics and mobile-style gameplay is really a turn-off.
