Kaboom! Bonus Points: Play the game & post a score= +3

Score 250= +2, Score 500= +3, Score 1,000= +4, Score 1,500= +5, Score 2,000= +7, 

Score 2,500= +10, Score 5,000 & up=+12

                                                       

Break or set a new CV HSC High Score= +10 

 

Round Ends: Sunday September 5th at 8pm (PST) 11pm (EST)

Has anyone had any luck at using a trackpad or mouse as a controller for this game?

I tried using a mouse running it on ADAMem (Virtual ADAM), but the movement was kind of jerky.

good lord the controls are awful for this game. Didn’t think I would get this high

Jerky controls really do hurt this one, which is a shame b/c it looks and sounds great. Despite that, I got a little better through my tries and scored a lot higher than I thought I would as well. I was still having fun, but it's just over too fast. I may go play this on the 2600 with real paddles to get that Kaboom fix that this one is having trouble scratching. Did this homebrew ever make it to a cart? I wonder how the roller controller would perform, cause I can't imagine the regular thumbstick being much better than a ps3 controller or keyboard.

What I find completely mystifying about this game is that the high score is set at 10,000.

135 - game is 'impossible' using keys on my emulator.  Tried my 2600 spinner controllers on the phoenix but they don't work. too bad - fun game

 

checked my records for the 2600... got a high score of 12990.

706.  Took many tries to get this one.  It's actually not a bad game, but our controllers aren't too kind in this.  I found myself switching between the analog sticks and the d-pad and had more success with the d-pad, as unbelievable as that may sound.

Game is fun. The difficulty after the first 10 bombs is parabolic though.

 

Too hard. could have used an easier level But good game.

It was a worthwhile game, I really enjoyed it. It's difficulty just gets kind of punishing.

The elderly roller controller fella ed1475 takes another round. Way to represent Ed nicely done! Yes, it is a tough game, but you get those now and then on the big jobs ya know. Thanks again to each and everyone that partook in this what the hell are we playing this for, endeavor, Thank you!
