Paul Westphal
Hi guys! So I picked up 11 ST's and 8 of them are 520's. They are in the process of being restored and upgraded. ( including asc2stfm modules ) I can source new power supplies from Bruce at B & C, but shipping those bricks is brutal. Is there a source for a modern USB type power supply? I asked Doc Marlin and Bruce to no avail. Worst case scenario : Source the female plug from Best Electronics and pull the schematic and build my own? arrrr

If so, that's also what most people are putting in their Mega STs. Paul Westphal, if you have an Amazon Prime account then you can get free shipping on them ?.
+chue
There is also the Meanwell RPD-60A (Digikey link), as discussed in the thread below. In my build I de-soldered the Meanwell input and output terminals; I then soldered the Atari terminals to the Meanwell board. AC side: DC side:

cleoo
I installed the Meanwell RD-50A Power Supply on my 520STFM.Similar to how Jan Beta did in his YouTube video Atari 1040STF Restoration Part 1I did, however, installed it with the cage still intact and turned a different way while still fitting under the housing. eightbit
Paul, I just ordered one of these for the 520ST I purchased from you: https://centuriontech.eu/product/st520psu/ Its pricey (ends up being about $75 with shipping to the USA) but I know their quality and I wanted a modern power source so I do not have any power problems with the upgrades I am adding to the machine. They also sell an internal solution which I had installed once into an STe and it was excellent...ran cool as a cucumber: https://centuriontech.eu/product/stpsu-st/ Edited November 6, 2021 by eightbit
