Where can I get Freddie chips in Europe

Hi Zulagala,

it does indeed require the SRAM module, sorry, missed that.

xrbrevin If you can't find someone who can sell you the chips, the link from Dinadan67 is a way forward, although you'll probably end up paying import and postage charges here in the UK.

Regards

You can get Freddie-replacements from a shop in Poland: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124704063542?hash=item1d08f10036:g:0yUAAOSwLjxgjGF9

Yup, I too got mine from this seller (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124704063542)  - same seller Galp30. Good service.:)  Was near £30 all in by the time postage cost from Poland to UK was factored in.

I guess this is the latest version of this pcb. You will probably have to use translator.

i just got the remaining components this afternoon and fitted them - i can confirm it is a success!

the XE has been cycling the karateka demo for over an hour now

to finish, i will have to remove the socket in order to refit the shielding but i will leave it in for now to test the remaining 4x Freddie PCBs. (Those 0402 components make my eyes hurt..!)

thanks again for all your help ?

if anyone would like to make their own, here are the gerbers, BOM and placement info: (saves you the hassle of google translate etc!)
