Rydr Warklub
So I just learnt that there was a motion-controller released for the VCS. How odd.
+bhall408
Yes, this was the "secret weapon" to totally crush people at Track & Field/Summer Games/Decathlon type games. You would just shake the controller and shoot across the screen to victory!
CapitanClassic
I had one of these. An interesting gimmick, but the novelty quickly wore off. Additionally, having to keep your hand in the upright position, with no support, wears on you. Eventually, we would use the couch armrest to prop-up our arms so we could rest. These things just weren’t as accurate as the CX-40, and not nearly as comfortable as resting a joystick in your lap. 2
Tempest
I have one, it sucks to use. Very much just a gimmick. Although I've wanted to write a game using two of these in some sort of weird control scheme since you could hold one in each hand. 1

mutterminder
It have one of these, but to be honest it's not very good. I wonder if they did any market testing before they released this thing? All it really has going for it is the novelty factor.
johannesmutlu
Whoooaaaah holy shit that le stick motion controller for the 2600 was really ahead for it’s time because eventrough it was bad,it predated the wii motion controllers by a whopping 25 years, altrough the wii and it’s games were designed with motion controllers in mind, not the 2600 and it’s games, just imagine if the atari 2600 did came with 2 motion controllers bundled in and you had to play ,astroids, yards revenge or space invaders with those motion controllers,i bet that the 2600 would,ve flopped real hard because of angr & frustrated gamers,o,o,o. Ouzy
A friend of mine back in the day had this joystick for his Vic 20. We used to play Spiders of Mars using it. Worst joystick ever had slow reactions. Not much good for a game needing fast reactions.. Never used it with an Atari.. But I would be expecting the same experience.
