Didn't want to post duplicate message threads but you can follow

the link and see pictures (and some video) from the VCF Midwest

2021 vintage computer show:

It was great fun!  :)

Damn - the wife & I were supposed to attend this year but cancelled last minute due to covid concerns (i.e. I was not wearing a mask during the show so did not attend).  The past 2 times I have gone, I ended up with 5 monitors and systems spread across two tables.

I was there Saturday. Nice show, but it needs more Atari. I want to bring my 8-bit hardware and maybe some new european games next year.

I haven't seen any 16/32 bit Ataris this year (or even Amigas).

Totally agreed. Early on Saturday, at the booth with several 800XL's 'n stuff, there was a Mega ST2 with an SC124 monitor,

but it was already sold, even then.

I'm not sure I saw any Amiga's either, although there were a lot of C64's...and Macs...

Wish you could have made it Stephen - it was great.

Let's all shoot for next years show!  :)

For me, the biggest and pleasant surprise of the show was a young man (I guess in his late teens, sorry I forgot his name) with a nice display of boxed XE setup. He had even a prototype XC1411 monitor. So there's still a hope that our Ataris will not end up in landfill when we will be long gone.

Noticed that XC1411…..I wouldn’t leave that alone :)

I believe that was the S.C.A.T display. I got to talk to him Sunday morning, before everything started winding down.

IIRC, that monitor wasn't there Sunday morning. He told me it should be fixed soon. I would have liked to have been

around if/when he got it back and running but I had to go...

There are usually at least 3 or 4 more Atari displays on hand, this was just a bad year as Stephen, Slor & Myself all made the decision to either not attend or only go as spectators. I'm hoping that we are all there next year as between us we have some really cool things to show.

Sorry, got confused - was the above for the West or Midwest shows?

Thanks.

Either way, hoping to see more people there next year (assuming I

get to go to the Midwest one again, of course)...

VCFMW - If I recall a few years ago we had 6-7 Atari displays in the old location and took an entire section of the show floor

Okay, just making sure.  Didn't want to get my VCF's crossed.  :)

There were a few Atari displays at VCF Midwest 2021. SCAT had theirs,

one guy had a mixed 8bit and ST display (well, okay - 1 Mega ST) at

the hallway outside the big room entrances. Some others had the 400

and 800 I took pictures of on display (but not running).  Of course

there was the 8bit Guy selling his games. One guy had a boatload

of 2600 games, etc, etc,. It was pretty scattered. As I mentioned,

I personally would have loved to have seen a lot more ST (or even

TT/Falcon) stuff, but...oh well, maybe next year.  :)
