Return to Pirate’s Isle on disk?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a disk image of Return to Pirate’s Isle?

This is a grom cartridge so likely it is not easily run from disk. It is however easily run with a finalgrom99

There was a cracked version on disk available in 80's. I remember to have played it at the time.

I had that disk version, but there were a lot of problems with it. The graphics were always messed up when you started.

That wasn't just the "blindness" effect?  I mean, the graphics are all messed up in the early games before you have your glasses sorted.  It wasn't just that?

As shown (and resolved, by wearing the glasses) at this timecode here:

Everything was not exactly dark, but it was too fuzzy to see?

First time I started the game, I was a bit disappointed about the graphics. I tried to figure out what I could see, maybe some distant buildings? Is that half-helm a sign at the harbour? The game said that the picture you see is correct; well, then this obviously supposed to be the quality. Bummer.

I don't remember whether I did a "feel around" or "squint" first, and I don't remember which palm hit my face.

I have a floppy disk with the game. I got it pre-release, since I knew people who worked for TI in Sweden back then.

Any chance of dumping it?
