There are a number of working units being offered on eBay UK for around a hundred pounds, which seems like a pretty good deal. I'd personally buy the cheapest unit that I could find with an upgraded screen and just get a multicart. It looks like there are a number of options for you around $350 (console alone), and I think that's the lowest realistic price you'll find these days for an upgraded model.
