Recommended Posts

As a fan of Sinclair products too, I am sad to read that Uncle Clive has passed away...Rest in peace.

Kind regards,

Luis

PS: I recommend to take a look at Micro Men TV film as a tribute to the inventor.

ZX Spectrum (Time 2048) was my first 8-bit computer! Still playing on 128k; amazing platform. Sad news. Rest in peace.

My computer addiction started with the ZX Spectrum 48K.  I had a lot of fun with that little computer.  Sir Clive brought computers to the masses.  RIP.

A US-market version of the ZX81 was my first home computer. I own two of them today and have spent a lot of hobby time this summer repairing and restoring them.  RIP, Sir Clive.

Sir Clive Sinclair, maker of my first beloved ZX81

Not everyday, not everyone can look back at their lives, one last time, and leave behind such a legacy.

A long and productive one, for sure. Peaceful rest, well earned.

RIP.

Not really a fan of any of his products (only ever used a ZX81), but he brought affordable computing to millions and helped shape the industry, even in places where Sinclair didn't have a lot of sales.

Deeply unfortunate news.  The contributions to computing that he helped to foster were much, much larger than many realise.  May he rest well.

Never owned any of his computers, but did have his Calculator and LED watch

Very sad news, he was one of the pioneers of the electronics world

As said, he opened up home computing..RIP.

I built two ZX81 kits and met a lasting friend who had a ZX80.

Thanks, Sir Clive!
