4th Castlevania Gameboy Advance game

I noted there is a fourth Castlevania game for GBA and it's not NES Castlevania.

 

 

What is it and was it released in Japan only?

Dracula X (Super Famicom) - Japan only. A pseudo remake of Rondo of Blood (PC Engine) (Technically I suppose rereleased outside Japan on WiiU and 3DS)

@CapitanClassic Umm not quite, it’s not Japan only, Castlevania Dracula X was a 1995 US release.  I know I’ve owned it since the day it came out.  Fantastic game for the console, glad to see them throw it in there as a nice extra, and a twist not just for what it is, but it’s one traditional style game thrown in with SOTN spawn.

 

Some ways DX is superior but also inferior to the PCE CD release (I have both.). It’s very nice, some bag on it unfairly, CD trolls, but they are while parallel side stories to each other are fun.

It's very "meh" compared to Rondo. It has nothing to do with the GBA versions, so it's pretty lame they chose that as some random throw in.. vs something like Rebirth (which never got a port from the original).

I like Dracula X, but it is by far the weakest of the 16-bit games and also the weakest game in the collection. Still glad they included it though. The more Castlevania, the better.
