You need to clear wide edge pieces first along with the tall pieces to avoid running out of moves. It's certainly part skill, but also the luck of getting a good board that you can get to zero tiles with good strategy. It's a challenge for a few reasons, finding the matches, finding them quickly, and solving the puzzle in a manner that won't get you stuck. When i bought this game i thought i'd never play it, looked boring, but it's wound up being one of my favorite lynx games! Super addictive once you get into it. This is the first map I haven't been able to get to 144 on...must have played it 60-80 times just couldn't get it done.
