Fuji-Man
Hi all, Every time I boot the black box, the partition list is random data. Clearing the list whacks the boot drive (mydos 4.53/4) somehow. If I manually clear the list, and fix it, next boot list is random again. Any idea how to fix? Thanks FujiMan
_The Doctor__
I'll try to help out via text, phone, or messages. Will require some specifics for your drives. Each are set up differently... make model etc etc embedded scsi/ or scsi controller etc. Edited October 4, 2021 by _The Doctor__

Marius
you might need to start the first partition on higher sector. Your first partition probably overwrites the partition list.
Fuji-Man
Here some pictures of bb config. Looks like bb is trashing sector 1 with partition list.
+SoulBuster
The black box partition list takes up 14 sectors. Your config shows it at sector 16 and your first partition staring on the very next sector. This is why you are getting it garbled. Change your partition list to start at sector 1 and it will use sectors up to sector 15 (14 total) leaving sector 16 empty and Your first partition starting at 17 . Mathy
Hello SoulBuster 54 minutes ago, SoulBuster said: Change your partition list to start at sector 1 and it will use sectors up to sector 15 (14 total) leaving sector 16 empty and Your first partition starting at 17. From the BlackBox documentation, Version 1, page 18: "... the partition list starting number must be even." Sincerely Mathy
+SoulBuster
That sounds right. So if you start the partion list at 2 there is still 14 available sectors before the start of the first partiton at sector 17.
