Recommended Posts

Was curious to see what games were the most prominently released to the point of being available on several systems by those different companies. Examples include:

Doom - Jaguar, SNES, Saturn, PlayStation

NBA Jam: Tournament Edition - Jaguar, SNES, 32X, PlayStation

Primal Rage - Jaguar CD, SNES, Genesis, PlayStation

Rayman - Jaguar, Game Boy Color, Saturn, PlayStation

Theme Park - Jaguar, SNES, Sega CD, PlayStation

Worms - Jaguar, Game Boy, Saturn, PlayStation

Zoop - Jaguar, Game Boy, Game Gear, PlayStation

A bonus: Raiden - Lynx, SNES, Genesis, PlayStation, as well as NEC's TurboGrafx-16, assuming one counts all of these versions as the same game

I have NBA Jam TE for Game Boy ;)

Didn't the programmer of the SNES and 3DO versions of Out of This World also port it officially to the Apple IIgs?

Also I think Mortal Kombat 2 was on SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear - then released for SMS, 32X, Amiga and MS-DOS - then for Saturn and PlayStation?

If you count the (recent) Atari VCS, you'll lose SEGA but get Microsoft instead for almost every game available on that system! 😉

Oh and Frogger. It was the last US game for both the SNES and Genesis plus the famous 2600 version and a much later release on PS4

Well there was a game called Frogger, but the original gameplay was only a small part of it. Did it have a way to play the original game? I can’t remember

Wait seeing the lists grow...castlevania?  I don't remember that being on Atari, thought we had to find one on all four of those makers.

Pit Fighter also made it to Atari Lynx, Sega Genesis and Master System, Nintendo Super NES and Gameboy, and as part of emulated collections for various consoles including Nintendo Gamecube and Sony PS2 and PS3.

I misread the OP as just "released on (any) several systems". If Atari is a must then my list is probably void.

Atari had Street Fighter II?

Looked great until it started moving.

The stock ST hardware was never going to handle this well and yes, maybe results could of been a little better, but like Final Fight, you've got to lower your expectations with conversions like this to the ST.

Also remember most of the computer ports used ONE button. 😰

Up to jump in platform games, Ohhh the horrors we endured back then.  😕

it always seemed like garbage titles and spoonware titles that would be advertised on being on like 20 different systems at once.

Then again, there was Lemmings, Pac-Man, and Tetris. lol
