Parsec sprites

Retrospect

Recommended Posts

I've been aware of a particular sprite within the game Parsec for a while now, but up to now I've never bothered to mention it.  I am curious though.

In the sprites, there's a space ship that exists but is not used.

In the game, we know the Urbites, Dramites, and Bynites are the same sprite.  Could there have been a mistake?  Was one of those three meant to look different?

Maybe the Dramite was meant to be the different sprite, as it's quite nasty looking?  Does anyone know anything about this?

That's the one I could never get

I've played Parsec through till level 4 and I have never seen this sprite appear.  All I can think is when they programmed it did they accidentally use the same pattern as the other two cruiser type enemies? (Dramite, Urbite and Bynite share the same pattern which is odd to begin with)

Hey everyone. In my next release for Android I am working on bringing to life that mysterious ship that has been forgotten by the developers of Parsec back in 1982.

I named the new enemy ship, “Falcon”, designed as red, it moves like a bird and is armed with “Radioactive Alloy Hooks”. To beat it you have to shoot it 3 times.

The idea is that from level 10 after the Swoopers, it appears randomly before some of the known enemy sequences.

Attached the sprite and demo video. Tell me what you think.

Thanks a lot!
