IOS Safari and FTP Asimov = no go! help!

IOS Safari and FTP Asimov = no go..

 

Seems the newest IOS' Safari deprecated FTP support. And now I can no longer view Asimov. Anyone got some ideas and suggestions that work?

 

It's no surprise, however, because updates always break things that have worked for years.

Is there something like Filezilla or AndFTP?

Welcome to the next level.  Eventually, files will be moved through services.

 

And this is so people other than the parties involved will know what moved and or interdict as they feel makes sense.

Another alternative would be to access an http mirror like this one http:// https://mirrors.apple2.org.za/ftp.apple.asimov.net/

For logical reasons, the INCOMING directory isn't mirrored. And I don't know the schedule for which the other folders are mirrored. But it appears to be the only way within Safari itself.

That happened with Firefox a while ago. Incredibly stupid move, as per usual excused by something something security.

Yes I believe it is. I keep an ESR and another other older version of Firefox at the ready.

 

Security is that catchall excuse for not taking the time or care to even care about something.

But the incoming folder is blocked...

When on my iOS fone I'm just interested in viewing the folders and seeing what's in'em, all folders including incoming. I don't do any uploading/mirroring with MAC OS or iOS devices.

 

When on PC, I'm more than happy to stick with older Firefox and FileZilla.
