Spector
The first ROM Pack on the Collectorvision site contains 60 games for $75, which seems a pretty good deal. The second ROM pack contains 35 games for $75, still a good deal because these games tend to be newer releases. But I think it would be good if we had the option to buy the ROM files individually for, say, $5, because a lot of people will already own quite a few of the games in the compilations and may only be interested in some of the games included. For example, there may be three games in the first compilation that a fan wants - he could pay $15 for those three games rather than $75 for lots of games that he isn't after or already owns. Personally, I am after Galaga, Juno First, Rollerball and Lock N Chase from the first compilation, but I just can't bring myself to pay $75 for all the other stuff as well. Would Collectorvision ever consider allowing individual purchases of ROM files as an alternative to buying the ROM packs?

I think that would be a great service to provide and wouldn't mind if the price was more. Time permitting, they could put a real nice digital package together that would include the ROM image and PDFs of the manual, overlay (if any) and box for $10.00 or so.
PhoenixMoonPatrol
Thats my story as well. I'm only really interested in 3-4 roms in the 1st pack. The rest I have already. Or at the very least some type of Black Friday sale would be neat?

The ROM packs they are talking about are basically just the individual game ROMs themselves. It isn't a special kind of game pack. You can play them on an emulator just like any other ROM.

BIGHMW
Bookmarked both ROM links, when I get out of this debt (I owe PayPal alomst $250.00) and get back to not having to rely on a payday loan to get me through each month I AM ON THEM!!! I most recently (back in December 2021) acquired a ColecoVision (for the second time, the first was in 1992, picking one up for a mere $20.00 from the now-defunct Community Thrift Store here in Port Townsend, now an empty lot) to go along with my Atari 5200 as there are many games you guys get to enjoy that we don't, so I figure that since there are unique and exclusive games on each I say "Hell, I might as well jump on it". I hope Bomb Jack and Light Grid Racing each are a part of either one or the other, but with nearly 100 titles available combined between the two and not having any luck finding them on cart, I am "all-in" on this one. EDIT: Just checked the lineup, they both are. Edited January 17, 2022 by BIGHMW Checked the lineup of each ROM package.
BrianC
Pang isn't in the first ROM pack, despite being on the list. Is Galaxian in the second ROM pack a hack? Edited February 20, 2022 by BrianC
ColecoGamer
I really want Jet Ready for the ColecoVision, but its only available in the second Rom Pack. I wish CollectorVision would allow us to buy the ROMs individually or make exceptions. Edited February 20, 2022 by ColecoGamer
H.E.R.O.
I'm a little sad after being in the club for one certain game I never got the rom because I didn't join the following year. Yes, individuals rom purchases would be nice. Lord knows we've been hounding Albert to set up some kind of rom purchase store for Atari games he publishes for enough years. People who want cart will always want cart. Selling roms isn't going to affect that.
