Decoding A800 serial numbers

The "Calling All 800s!" topic got me interested in decoding the serial number(s) of the Atari 800, so I started looking if I could make any sense of it. I could not find a good description, so I made the one below. It is based on the owners list in the "Calling All 800s!" topic and divided in weeknumber/year periods. Hope this makes sense and helps other people.

Also looked at the 400 numbers, these look even a bit more messy, but they translate basically the same. The type translates as follows:

XXX = Type
	050/051 400 PAL Europe
	BZ/BY	400 PAL UK
	AV	400 NTSC US

Was there ever a 72R for ATMC?  I see FCC grants, hence the question.

72R/Atari Taiwan Manufacturing Corp. was one of the locations that manufactured the 800XL, 1200XL, 130XE, XF551, XEP80(this is just from my collection, I don't know about other products)

Other locations were:

83S = Atari, Sunnyvale USA  (many products including 400, 800, 1200XL)

83A = Atari-Wong Co., Hong Kong  (800 for certain, others?)

7YJ = Chelco, Hong Kong  (600XL and 800XL for certain, others?)

7VD = Atari-PCI Enterprises Pte. Ltd?, Singapore  (Tandon 1050 for certain, others?)

I posted some of this with products codes for the 800XL last month, though I didn't know the Taiwan manufacturer at the time.
