Atari 2600 backing up save data from SaveKey?

Is there anyway to backup save game data such as high scores to a computer? Before I decide to purchase a SaveKey, I just wanted to check if I can backup my data so that I can transfer my saves to an emulator if I'm ever traveling and not at home. It would also be great to backup my saves for data preservation.

I'd love to have a micro SD port or a micro USB port on the SaveKey to make it easier to connect to a computer.

Thank you for your help!

Yes, you can do so, but it is not very simple. You need a 2600-dapter, flashed for the SaveKey and a program which dumps the contents to your hard drive. Finally you have to convert the dump so that e.g. Stella understands it. And if you already have save high scores with Stella, you have to manually merge the two files. Else the Stella high scores would be lost.
