Sky5423
I will be getting my new Jaguar soon! First time owning an Atari Console! However, the guy mentioned that there is a static noise over the game audio. What would be the cause of this? He stated that the caps have been replaced and that the jaguar has no other issues, just the static noise. Thanks!
sirlynxalot
Maybe it's an issue with his TV. I'd also try new av cables for an easy test. Especially if he was using the original rf adapter jags came with instead of the RCA cables people had to buy separately.

sirlynxalot
Might also want to try a different AC adapter. Edited November 28, 2021 by sirlynxalot
+Stephen Moss
In addition to a bad cable or problem with the display/not correctly tuned in already mentioned other possibility are... 1) Corruption of the I2S digital audio stream 2) A problem with the D-A converter 3) A problem with output amplifier. 4) A problem with REG1 which supplies the Audio output circuits Unfortunately, the first 3 are difficult to diagnose without a fixed test signal such as a 1KHz sine wave, and logic analyser with I2S decoding and/or an Oscilloscope, but the cost of the hardware may prove prohibitive if it is more than a simple issue with the cable/display. You can get some cheap USB logic analysers from Amazon (Sigrok pulseview compatible), and may be able to find a project to make a cheap Oscilloscope using a Microcontroller or one of those awful Arduinos (10KHz minimum bandwidth) but those would still not be much use if you don't know what you are looking for.
