Rom hacking for supercharger ?

is it possible to hack roms that originally are not working on the supercharger ( in the correct size limits )and make them load on the supercharger, games like:

 

chopper command

 

instead of fixing the supercharger hardware that may kill this device.

Yes, that is possible. Not for all games, but for most it should be. My latest two 4K NTSC -> PAL conversions (Cat Trax, Cosmic Commuter) are fixed that way.

are using some kind of tool that u created ?

 

well, what that I want most is to able

to run chopper command(PAL) on my super charger, it crush after the game finish loading.

I think instead of hacking hundreds of ROMs to work with an original SC, it's much easier to modify the SC as it is described on various websites.

No, it has to be done 100% by hand. (disassembling and looking for the code, not very complicated)

 

The problem is, that the code accesses an address that the SC uses for switching banks.

 

In Chopper Command this happens when the copyright is displayed. I could remove that for you. Send me you email address and I'll send you a patched ROM.

 

BTW: Does there a SC (in)compatibility list exist?

Lee included a compatibility list with his Worship the Woodgrain CD set. But it mostly covers NTSC games, and it seems that some of the games only got a brief test, as I think I had some occasions where games crashed after a couple of minutes of play that he listed as compatible.
