Also a curse on the UPS store that thought a pbox in the bottom of a cardboard box with one layer of bubblewrap was acceptable.

Looks like high density polyurethane foam.

If so, the best "glue" would be 2 part polyurethane resin. Mix in a dixie cup, paint on both sides of the damaged foam, put together and clamp in place. Clean edges with a razor blade while still noncured to minimize surface blemishes. Sand lightly with 1000 grit or finer paper once cured.

I've had good luck with JB Weld Plastic Bonder #50133.  Found it on Amazon and at Auto Zone.

A little sanding afterwards and some spray paint will make look brand new.

Bondo is just fiberglass resin mixed with chalk and talc. :)

I used to mix Elmer's glue and chalk in elementary.

I really want to understand how that happens.  Some people are posting images which devolve into gobbledy-gook.  How are you guys inserting those images?

Nope, but I was being serious. Its mostly limestone and talc by weight, with just enough resin to make it sticky.

Some sodium silicate to discourage caking in the mixing hopper when they mix it.
