What happened to the original Game informer Staff, does anyone know?

Reiner and a few others I forgot the names of. I remember one issue that went over jobs in the industry but i've never heard about them since. Did they die? Move on?

 

The issues I remember are for COD finest hour (still waiting for GF's review of it), Silent storm and some game called Breed.

Gamestop's reasoning for firing most of the OG staff:

While these changes are difficult, they were necessary to reduce costs and better align the organization with our efforts to optimize the business to meet our future objectives and success factors. I hope they found greener pastures. Many of my favorite childhood memories were Classic GI and the quizzes. One of the results was pac pox. My mother may have ripped out the pages but I never stopped loving it. Thanks for the memories guys
