Castle Game Engine (Game Development)

I just discovered this open-source game development out there.
It's programmed using a GUI and Pascal (a classic programming language).

An interesting review here.

Pascal?  Cripe, might as well be LOGO!:lolblue:

Well, Pascal was developed as a commercial language a lot as a result of Borland Turbo Pascal,
and then the Delphi product, which with Object Pascal brought all modern methods ? to it too. ?

Was this castle engine abandoned by its creator?

No, it's under active development, and the Discord channels and forums are relatively thriving.
Compared to some commercial offerings, active today, I has a better future, being open-source, community driven.

I learned Pascal in high school and college.   Was told "it's just a teaching language, you won't encounter it in the real world"

Also learned COBOL because "it's old, but you WILL still encounter it in the real world"

So my first real job after college involved Pascal.   Never encountered COBOL though  ?
