Rossoe Posted January 21, 2022 Share Posted January 21, 2022 Hi I have damage on 2 connectors on my Lynx II likely from soldering iron after a recap job - Are the ribbon connectors actually available anywhere? does anyone have a spare per chance from a dead donor machine ? +Stephen Moss Posted January 24, 2022 Share Posted January 24, 2022 I would try it first to see if the Lynx still works as the damage does not operationally significant, you may have to trim the brown connector with a sharp knife to get the other half on but apart from that if the Lynx does still work I suggest leaving them in. I know it does not look great but with the case on you won't see it and you could potentially go on to cause other damage to the PCB in the process of replacing those connectors, do you really want to risk that if they do not really need replacing? 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
