Some of those ZX spectrum entries go to the ZX81 (4 I think).

The Atari entries may still do alright, a couple of the MSX entries looked good too.

I'm not sure how well the Amstrad Sokoban will go, a study of the code reveals a specific POKE address which can be used to alter the right side of a WINDOW. The problem is while it's valid on the CPC464, 664/6128 machines placed that POKE address at the different location. I'm not sure if Judges will take that into account when they pass down their final score, I always think it's better to write a game compatible  across all systems when that situation exists, though thats just my opinion.

Actually there are 83 entries. The last ones came in minutes before the deadline.

I hadn't had time to update the lists. Please be patient for a few days.

Is any of the missing ones for the XL/XE platform? If not, I have an ATR with all Atari entries ready for download and play (with docs).

Sorry I wasn't reading the list properly earlier on my Phone. ?

I was also wondering why no Atari 400 or 1200XL mentions, is the 800 XL the same as an 800, do systems support one another or does Atari revise BASIC with each System?

When I think in the 800XL, I think in the whole XL/XE line with at least 64K of RAM, including the XEGS console, but not the 600XL because it has only 16K of RAM, just like the 400. A plain 800 could run most of the Atari BASIC games even with a earlier revision of the cartridge (*), but it cannot run a TurboBasic XL game because it has only 48K of RAM, and TBXL requires and uses the extra 16K. So, 800XL is the base system and most interpreters and compilers work in it. Only games for simultaneous 4 players/joysticks should require earlier 400 or 800 model, or the 130XE for the extra RAM, or the 1400XL for the voice synthesizer (I don't know if it can be used from BASIC).

(*) There are few different revisions of the BASIC cartridge or built-in ROM, but the differences are just bug fixes. The statements/functions remains the same, as well as the tokenized file format used to save the programs.

I see it the same way.

However, another difference is that the XL/XE machines can access graphics modes 12 and 13 with a simple GRAPHICS 12 (or 13) command directly.     On an 800 (non-XL) this will result in error 145.

While there are other ways to program around this, it's hard to beat the code-size efficiency/compactness of what a statement like "GR.13" does for you in only 5 characters.   So any 10 liners that do that will run into problems on non-XL 400/800 machines.

If you haven't noticed, I've uploaded to my tenliners page an ATR containing this year's compilation of Atari XL/XE games, but if you have noticed, I'll tell you that I updated it to solve some problems in the menu. Anyway, I am attaching the ATR here.

The ATR contains all 9 entries, plus NTSC versions for 3 of them, plus the docs for all of them in the second screen of the menu.

Remember to boot it with your BASIC cartridge or BASIC ROM enabled!!!

@erichenneke told me that my ATR included an old version of his game (MetroSync). @Bunsen's site was updated so I and picked the latest version, updated the ATR in my site and attached it here for you.

Enjoy it!!!

I was waiting for something on twitter, but when it didn't start coming in I found all the results were posted on the Homepuerium page

https://gkanold.wixsite.com/homeputerium/results-2022

I don't understand, the results for the Public's Choice has also been given, though if it's meant to be based on number of likes from the Twitter Feed, then BASIC10L only did the first 35 entries to Polarion I

I noticed that... There haven't been any tweets of entries from @Basic10L since Mar 23, with a lot of them not being tweeted. They do all seem to be listed on the itch.io page. I, too, am confused how the public choice award is supposed to work, then. @Bunsen, @skr?

Congrats to @Preppie for his zombies games. Both in the podium!!!

@erichenneke also did it very well.

@OxC0FFEE got a very high score, but that category was a difficult one this year. Too many excelent games for other platforms.

About publics choice @michomis also got an outstanding position in its category, as well as my Bert game in its own.

Public's choice is based on itch.io download/views/rating statistics this year.

Last year's public's choice based on twitter statistics. But that was too annoying for me to evaluate.

Greetings from NOMAM meeting from Itzehoe (Schleswig-Holstein/Germany).
