Should we use the original planned boxart or should we do a brand new one?

My idea was to use to original boxart and make an alternate cover sleeve

Thoughts?

Include a couple extra pages in the manual with the original box art and press kit sheet, then do completely new box art that will do your game justice.

Graphically, this DRACULA game will be the best ever for the CV platform. It is also hard for me to believe these are real screenshots! I can't commend your work enough. I'm very much anticipating and looking forward to the release. But, please take your time to get it as "perfect" as possible! We will all be very grateful for your efforts.

Time for a small update...

During the last month or so, we've completed the first 20 screens and we're currently working on the next 10 ones. (out of 50-60 screens)

This is without any doubt, the most sophisticated Colecovision game I ever work on.

This Summer, we'll have a special coverage in the Experience Magazine.
So make sure to check it out! :)

May I ask what has happened to this game?

It seems you made quite some progress and I hope it didn't turn out to be too ambitious to complete...

Yes, this is by far my most anticipated game for Coleco. Hopefully, there's some news, progress or update! Those screenshots are among the best I've yet seen for any game on the console. Hope they're more than just mock-ups.

They are more than mockups ;)
But keep in mind, doing a game of that scale will takes some time to be completed

My original thought was that which one is the Colecovision Dracula?

Is the Vaporware version going to be made or this artsy Anime....NES version?

The ''original'' was never made, so it doesn't simply exist
And it was confirmed it never past the mockup stage, so...

If you want to make a game based off the original mockup, then be my guest!
You can even use the screen I did based off that said mockup

I just thought because of the other pictures....

Believe me, I wish I had the time.
I have at 3 high end games I am working on and now the He-Man you dropped has peeked my interest because I can fix all the bugs, just not the time.
Also, I am no different than anyone and can't keep doing things for free.

Look at my other work like Mr. Do.
I found the sprites to the original Japanese Prototype inside the code.  Where is that written down other than the Atari Age thread?  That "I" discovered after 40 years......
It's not despite the work I put into it.  No credit, no nothing other than a few likes that I had to ask for.

So sometime I would like to start getting paid because likes and digital trophies does not pay the bills.

This is why I had a back and forth over Dino Eggs, I am doing all the work so what did Schroeder contribute?  We seem to have gotten past our differences of opinion on that.

But Dracula, I may get to it one day.  Just like adding the missing content to Mouse Trap and Venture.
I already added the missing music and dark screen to Rocky Boxing when paused.  Where is that compensation.  No one cared.

Anyway, that's my rant.

If you have a game idea about Dracula I'm all ears.
I always thought it was supposed to be based off the Intellivision version.

After I am done with my current project I will look into this but it will be this and not the thing above.

This is a cool graphic but I am trying to get a feel for where this scene would even fit into a game.

Are you Dracula or the guy hunting Dracula?
Are you there to just wander into peoples homes to protect them from Dracula?

The graphic looks great but that's all it is.

i would say that judging by the screenshot, you would play the guy trying to defeat Dracula.  Possibly some exploration inside your own home, or a manor that you are visiting/went to in order to investigate something like people mysteriously disappearing inside.  You must scavenge for artifacts that may help you in your realization of the horror that is chasing you.   The items collected appear to be garlic, a cross, and a hammer with stake.  When the clock strikes midnight, DRACULA is hot on your heels!  Can you survive the night?

In the Intellivision version I think you were Dracula and got points for attacking people. For any version released for the CV I'm hoping your hunting him kind of like Peter Cushing aka Van Helsing. Perhaps not having garlic or a cross gets you killed instantly if he catches you like the dragons in Adventure or he backs off while holding a cross or garlic etc and only the stake can kill him in his coffin during the day back in his castle.

:D
