griz
One night, admittedly after a few glasses of wine, I held a sheet of plywood up to the side of my Defender cab and drew it's profile. I chopped off the back 12 inches or so and simplified the front. Some time later this Raspberry Pi based cabinet came to life. It has a trackball, spinner and support for 2 players. Lots of fun to play. I can (of course) play 2600 (and other systems) games on it too. Behind the lexan marquee is a Larsen scanner.
Cynicaster
Very cool. Any vids of it in action? What is a "Larsen scanner?"

I'll post a video in the near future. Glen Larsen created Battlestar Galactica. The Cylons had a red eye that moved back and forth. Scanning. He also created Knight Rider and the Trans Am driven by Michael Knight, known as KITT (The Knight Industries Two Thousand), also had a similar moving eye. Somewhere along the way these became known as Larsen Scanners.
