Marco #3 Posted September 7, 2003 Eighty bucks for a PAL copy ? There are plenty of NTSC games that are not as rare and still fetch higher prices Cheers, Marco
Clock #4 Posted September 7, 2003 Yeah but the last few complete Pal copies I've seen sold for around £30... so £50 is quite high.
Marco #5 Posted September 7, 2003 I guess that means that the value of a game is in the eye of the beholder / buyer, and not ours to determine. Cheers, Marco

Gregory DG #8 Posted September 7, 2003 How hard is it to convert a PAL cart to NTSC??

deathtrappomegranate #10 Posted September 7, 2003 My UK TVs (3) can all use NTSC equipment with no problems. Similarly, PAL 2600s will still produce output from NTSC carts, albeit at 60Hz, which can then be displayed by any NTSC-capable TV. Is the same thing true in the US? It's clear that there is an advantage to TV manufacturers in Europe to make NTSC-compatible hardware, because electronics (HW/SW/everything) tends to be cheaper in the US. I wonder whether modern US TVs can accept PAL-format input? There may not be the same imperative for cross-operability in the US.
CPUWIZ #11 Posted September 7, 2003 There is quite a few TV's on the U.S. market now that can handle a PAL signal. They don't even cost that much more than a regular TV. P.S. Nice snipe on the hidden Bumper Bash earlier.

CPUWIZ #13 Posted September 13, 2003 I am impressed, rare carts like Chuckwagon can't do it but a PAL Motorodeo can, it's at $117.02 with 2 days to go. For Marco: PAL
