Basic Rev C on a chip

Recommended Posts

Hi, it looks like people used to sell the 8 bit basic on a chip but it looks like much of that has dried up.  Anyone still have a source for this?

It can be burned onto a suitable Eprom and it's not in really high demand.

You don't say what you want to use the IC in. (?)  You can burn it into a commonly available 2764 eprom and then use an 24 to 20 pin adapter.  Or you can still buy the Rev C cartridge from BEST for $20 + shipping (note minimum order may apply).  Or you can put the rom image on a multi cart.  Or use a PILL or similar device.  Or you can put an ad here to buy one from a "parts" computer, although you're much more likely to be able to get a Rev B. But there are a lot of scrap 130XE's out there.

If you wanted to start now you could just load this file (after unzipping) using DOS. It's a file substitute, but works fine anyway.

BASICC.zip
