Khaizeka
That is, I move the stylus as far down on the tablet as I can, but in Atari Artist the cursor can't reach the bottom row of dithered colors. The buttons and stylus both work fine otherwise. Advise please!
Rybags
It should operate like a mouse, shouldn't it? As in you pick up the stylus and place it at the top - the cursor doesn't move until you start moving down again. They use the POT inputs which only have 228 values which is likely scaled down so probably equates to about 2/3rds of the vertical screen range. Only when using the magnification in Atari Artist, the positioning is estimated relatively. The paddle range fully covers the 160x192 coordinates of the supported graphics mode. As for trouble shooting the issue: Inside of the tablet are AFAIR 3(?) calibration pots to adapt the range. If they are e.g. corroded you could try adjusting them. Excluding issues with the machine/Pokey by trying normal paddles with it or trying the tablet on an other machine could help too. Some users don't mind that using a joystick-port-splitter and two devices with it the then parallel chain of resistors invalidates the correct function.
Khaizeka
There are 2 calibration pots, and adjusting them slowly did the trick, it works great now! Thanks very much Irgendwer for your help!
