Found an old Litton Monroe computer

Recommended Posts

I was helping sort thru my late father-in-laws belongings this weekend and found this old Litton Monroe OC 8820 computer stashed away in the crawl space.  I never heard of this thing, but it looks to be a Z80 based machine. I'm thinking of taking it home to add to my collection.  It might be fun to play around with.

I'm going to have to keep an eye on Ebay and hope some software and docs show up, or I'm probably not going to be able to do much with it.  It looks like it was strictly a business machine and probably didn't have much 3rd party support.  I did find a post from someone who produced some accounting software for it back in the day.  He said the OS was encrypted and he had to break the encryption, which wasn't very difficult, so that he could utilize some OS commands.
