Skunkboard Memory Track v1.0.0 Released

I've made a public release of the Skunkboard Memory Track emulator ROM I've been working on. You can find the source code and pre-built ROM images here:

https://github.com/cubanismo/skunk_mtrk/releases/latest

The README.md in the source and release packages has the full instructions, but for those who hate reading, here's the quickstart version:

*** WARNING: This erases both banks of your Skunkboard! ***

  1. Skunk BIOS 3.0.3 (Rev 2/3/4 boards) or 4.0.1 (Rev 5+ boards) or higher are required. Rev 1 Skunkboards are not  supported. Get the latest version of JCP here. Install it, then use it to update your Skunkboard BIOS by running `jcp -u`
  2. Get the latest release of the Skunkboard Memory Track ROM from the above link, unzip it, and flash the ROM to bank 1 of your Skunkboard by running `jcp -f skunk_mtrk-01_00_00.rom`
  3. Put your Skunkboard in a Jaguar CD, put a CD game in the Jaguar CD that supports the memory track, hold down the "C" button on your controller, and turn on the Jaguar. You can release "C" once you see the VLM start. Use memory track functionality in the game as usual.

Additional functionality:

  • To get into the Memory Track File Manager interface, hold down both "C" and "Option" when turning on the Jaguar.
  • To backup your memory track content to a computer: `jcp -2d backup.mtdd`
  • To restore backed up memory  track content to a Skunkboard: `jcp -2f backup.mtdd`

All the original Jaguar CD games that support memory track functionality have been verified to work. Reboot's ULS freeware releases currently do not work. YMMV with other titles.

Enjoy!
