Flash Floppy Gotek - No LCD display after firmware flash.

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I'm very new to the Atari ST and floppy emulators. I bought a new basic gotek drive, the kind with the artery chip. SFRKC30.AT2 successfully flashed the gotek with Flashfloppy 3.24 i believe. But when I plug the gotek in the LCD doesn't display anything, no light at all, with or without a usb drive plugged in. I did power up the gotek new out of the box before flashing it and the LCD lit up fine displaying 000. I do believe the gotek itself is fine because when I insert the usb drive the light on the usb stick flashes as if there's activity and the green led on the gotek does light up when connected to my Atari 520ST(early model with no internal drive). Anyone run across this issue? Any thoughts on if the LCD is just fried somehow or if there's something im not doing with my USB drive?

I had similar issues with a GOEX, also uses the same FlashFloppy software, I was told if you power on with no SD card in

wait about 5 seconds, then press the reset button(s) (whatever you do to program new firmware) for at least 10 seconds, this should do a factory reset.

My display came back with the new updated firmware.

Thanks! I just re-flashed it with flashfloppy 3.30 instead of 3.24 apparently I thought 3.24 was the latest when I initially set it up. LCD fired up right away after flash!! Now to try and figure out how to actually access the gotek on the atari ! lol
