+Torrax
Pulled out my CorComp 9900MES and its acting up. The 32K Memory tests run fine but the FDC seems to be throwing a tantrum. Disk/File read errors galore with a real 5.25" and Gotek drives. Also any file saved results in a I/F 0 sized file. Is this a sign of a failed TMS9901 on the upper FDC board?? If so where/whom is a reliable source of replacement TMS9901's. Any recommended eBay sellers with real parts and not fakes?? First time my CC9900MES main unit has not worked properly since 87/88'. Only replaced the power supply once back in 2016. Much thanks
+Ksarul
If you want a guaranteed real part, you might want to try Unicorn Electronics. Look about halfway down the linked page and you will find 9901s. They aren't cheap--nearly $30 a pop, but they are original chips.

+Torrax
Trying my luck on ebay. Ordered two of each for a TMS9901 and WD1773. Recommended seller and checked all the feedback reviews. Just gotta wait for a few weeks for them to arrive.
