Gunther
The upcoming ATARI XP games are listed on Limited Runs Website, and trailers for each title are listed on their YouTube channel. Hopefully, we may see games from Limited Run themselves.

Gunther
A great interview with Wade Rosen, discussing ATARI XP, game preservation, and the current VCS: https://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/atari-game-preservation-efforts/
Gunther
He (Wade Rosen) mentions Adventure. Its a little scrambled, but it gives the impression that work may be underway on a new Adventure game. I'm not sure which platform he's speaking about, but I assume that its the 2600 from the article. Interesting stuff.
toiletunes
They also call Yars' Revenge rare and unreleased, so who knows? Maybe they meant Yars' Return, and maybe they meant an enhanced label for the new re-release of the existing Adventure. There's just not enough accurate information, as usual. They need to hire a PR person and an Atari historian, and they need to do it five years ago.
Gunther
Dennis Debro (@DNSDEBRO) Tweeted: Wanted to share screenshots of the #YarsReturn offered via #AtariXP. New shield visuals and title screen added. #Atari #retrogaming https://t.co/PiIWDlTQOw So much for being a 'cash-grab'. H.S.W seems to also be involved with these also, seeing as he's been interviewed on the ATARI XP discovery blog.

leech
I was getting all excited that there was some massive bundle of games coming out for the Atari VCS, but then see physical cartridges and think 'where on my Atari VCS (2020) am I going to fit a cartridge? I didn't see one when I upgraded the memory.' This is likely a post in the wrong section?

I guess it's tangentially related?
Mockduck
Yeah, these have a VCS component as they drive people to the VCS Store for the digital redemption. Definitely a VCS subject, although it is being more extensively covered in Atari General.

Mockduck
Sadly, widespread reports including from me that the cart is not playing in any of my 2600s.

I popped it in my Retron77 and it didn't work. ☹️ Haven't tried actual hardware - yet. Sounds like there's not much reason to do so. UPDATE: Doesn't work on my 2600. But the manual does specify a 90 day warranty. Hmmm.... Edited September 3, 2022 by rsiddall
Gunther
This is a bummer. Is this the same across all thre XP titles'?
leech
Damn, guess I am 'lucky' I did not order any yet? I mean... one would want to fire these up on a real 2600, wouldn't they? Anyone know if Airworld is getting a real cart release?
