alfredtdk
Series Rovers - Prototype 01 ? The first prototype of Moon Patrol had a few more peculiarities than the final version released. It was possible to apply different colors to the vehicle, the checkpoints contained the entire abcdarium, with the exception of the letter Z, identical to Arcade. . What happens is that before reaching the missing checkpoint Z, the game simply resets and resets the score, starting all over again. It is still curious to check or at least see how it would be to play with the buggy with multiple colors. In this hack I applied 4 colors to the vehicle, on the fixed stones I drew on them what would be the first version of the enemy tank, its sprite is present in the original programming, but it is not activated. In the compressed file it accompanies the original version without alterations. alfredtdk
Series Rovers - Prototype 02 ? In prototype 2 it is much closer to the final version released at the time. The Lunar Buggy only has a single color for the entire vehicle, as in prototype 1 there are no sound effects such as gunshots or explosions. On the other hand, it is in prototype 2 that we have the famous Arcade rolling stones as obstacles. The prototype 2 enemy tanks already have the final version design, but they have been changed to the prototype 1 version. Hope you like it. For more information on the second prototype see: http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/moonpatrol/16606.htm I provide a compact file containing the original version, the hack and another hack with the blue sky. simplescreenrecorder-2022-05-27_00.20.06.mp4 Series Rovers - Prototype 02.zip Edited June 4, 2022 by alfredtdk
