And don't forget that Defender of the Crown is also available RIGHT NOW for the Gameboy Advance! Bought mine two days ago at Babbage's for $9.99 (not a typo). Identical tot he Commodore 64 version. Very nice indeed. I wasn't impressed with the GBA version for one reason, the swordfighting! On the old PC version (remember that nasty CGA version?) the fighting was done by basically hammering the spacebar until the other guy dropped. Now you have to time your attacks, use thrusts, and defend and all that jazz. While this may make the game more realistic and in-dpeth, I've played the "button masher" version all my life and now I can't seem to ever complete a raid. It drives me nuts! I can't do it! Fun game, but the graphics were exactly the same as I remember back then. I thought they would have enhanced them a bit. Other than that, it seems spot on. I did get to win the game a few times ( I was good at jousting) but I never got to win the game and save the princess at the same time. Therefore I knew that if I saved the princess, I was not going to win the game but who cared? AtariDude #18 Posted September 20, 2003 It looks like they are going to release the game in a revised version for the PC. I would love to be able to play that game again.
