Got my Atari like Frogger today, check it out ...

Recommended Posts

It's heavy and it looks like there is an inverter in it (from peeking through the bottom), I bet it's made with EPROM's.

Kinda cool though. 8)

I have no idea, I've only seen this kind once before, it came from Canada in a regular Parker box with instructions. :?

The label strongly reminds me of the Brazilian Parker Bros labels for the Odyssey 2. That is weird.

Very weird, but it is a pretty cool collectable.

I remember seeing a thread where a Frogger similar to that was from Germany, but I have no idea if that cart type is one and the same.

The previous thread was about my Frogger cart. It's exactly the same as this one, and I bought it at a fleamarket here in Germany. If you look closely at the Parker logo, you'll see that it says "Weltbekannt durch Monopoly" below. That's the official logo of Parker Germany. If someone wanted to pirate Frogger, I doubt they would print this logo on the label. ;)

The cartridge shell is the same as for the Homevision games. Homevision obviously also made games for ITT Family Games. So I think maybe Parker Germany couldn't get enough carts from Parker's own factories during the hight of the Frogger craze and therefore ordered some carts from an outside manufacturer, like Homevision.

Ciao, Eckhard Stolberg
